A showcase race for Maine’s top high school athletes with graduation dates of 2024-2026, the B2B High School Mile provides an opportunity for student athletes to interact with elite athletes. The one-mile course is comprised of two laps through Fort Williams on a combination of trails and paved paths.
The event is open to any rising sophomores, juniors or seniors enrolled in Maine High Schools. The application process will open toward the end of the 2024 School Year and will close on July 20. Seed times may be from indoor or outdoor 1600/mile or cross country time that meets the qualifying standard:
-
- Boys – 5:00 (1600m time) (or sub 17:30 for the 5K)
- Girls – 6:15 (1600m time) (or sub 20:30 for the 5K)
There will be a separate heat for para athletes. Any high school athlete with a graduation date of 2024-2027 who has physical differences – amputee, cerebral palsy, visual impairment, spinal cord injuries, intellectual disability and athletes whose disability does not fit into the categories listed – is invited to apply.
After the conclusion of the application process, all submitted times will be verified and ranked, with the top 20 boys and the top 20 girls accepted based on those results. Participants will then be notified of acceptance by TDB2B10K.
