Team Best Buddies Hosting Saturday Meetups in Preparation for 2025 Beach Walk, Run, Roll

CAPE ELIZABETH, MAINE, 2025 — Best Buddies, the beneficiary of the 2025 TD Beach to Beacon 10K, is hosting Saturday meetups for anyone interested in getting more movement this summer, including those who want to participate in the Beacon Walk, Run, Roll event during race weekend.

Anyone who wants to move their bodies outside for a walk, run, or roll on the Portland Trails is invited to participate. The meetups will take place on Saturdays from 9:00 – 10:00 AM beginning June 28 and continuing weekly through July 26. Meet-ups will start at Beacon Fitness, 341 Marginal Way, Portland.

The Beach to Beacon Walk, Run, and Roll was created to ensure that this incredible race weekend is accessible to athletes of all abilities. This event celebrates the dedication and spirit of every participant, reinforcing the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to be part of the racing experience, regardless of their abilities. The full length of the course is just under half a mile along the oceanfront at Fort Williams, and the finish area of the TD Beach to Beacon 10K.

The Beacon Walk, Run, Roll event takes place Friday, August 1 at 5:30 PM at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth. This half-mile event is free to enter and is open to all ages and abilities.

About Best Buddies
Best Buddies International is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, inclusive living, and family support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).  Best Buddies serves individuals with IDD and their families.
